Frequently Asked Questions

Here are my answers to the questions I'm most often asked by people wishing to 1) purchase sheet music, 2) sign up for trumpet/music lessons, 3) commission a piece for their band/orchestra, or 4) hire me to score a film.  Please do not hesitate to contact me via my Contact page if you have further questions.

01

How do I go about purchasing sheet music?

If you go to the "Shop" page, you will find a wide variety of original sheet music available for purchase, ranging from solos to full orchestral scores.  Items are being added to the store each day, so if something doesn't fit your tastes, check back later -- you may find something you end up liking.  When you find sheet music you like, simply click the "Buy Now" button underneath its respective item.  You will have the ability to pay through PayPal or a debit/credit card.

02

Can I purchase multiple items at once?

At this time, there is no way to purchase multiple items at once. You will have to purchase each item separately, using the PayPal button that is under each listing on the "Shop" page.

03

After I complete my purchase, what happens next?

Upon purchase, a .pdf file of the parts and score (if applicable) will be sent to the email address associated with your PayPal account OR an alternate email address that you can provide in the "Notes to Seller" field.  The email will be sent out within 2 days of purchase. If you do not receive your email, it may have gotten lost in spam.  Check your spam folder first; if it is not there, I encourage you to reach out to me via my Contact form. Please provide any details in your message, such as what you bought and when you made your purchase.

04

You teach music lessons. Where can I sign up for some?

I provide lessons through ClassDo. You can find my teaching profile here: http://Bill.class.do.  Signing up for ClassDo is free; the lessons are not, however, but the costs are certainly manageable. People under 18 should get parent/guardian permission before signing up for lessons.

I teach trumpet, music theory (all levels), and I provide tutoring in History and English, as well.

05

How do I commission a piece for my band/orchestra?

Simply send me a message through my Contact form.  Please provide me with alternative means of contacting you, as email is not always reliable, and (if you're a elementary/high school band director) school emails can sometimes be very temperamental with outside correspondence.

06

I'm a film director in need of a music score. How do I get in touch?

Contact me via my Contact form.  We can negotiate and hammer out details there. Please provide alternative means of communication in the event email doesn't work out as expected.

If you're just looking for stock music, I have a wide selection of stock music here: http://www.audiomicro.com/artist/Bill_Miller25

07

I have a YouTube channel, and I'm looking for new music.  How much will that cost me?

Custom intros and outros for your YouTube videos are $20.  With that $20, you get 2 FREE "alterations", in the event you don't initially like the music concepts provided for you.  After those 2 alterations are up, if you need more, you will be charged a flate rate of 25% for each further alteration.  For example, if you have 4 alterations, you will be charged a total of $30 ($20 + $5 + $5).  To minimize your expenses, please provide (as clearly as possible) details as to what you're looking for early on to eliminate unneeded guesswork.  Sending me a link to sample tracks for style helps immensely.  NOTE: DUE TO COPYRIGHT ISSUES, I CANNOT SIMPLY RE-CREATE A TRACK FOR YOU.

If you're looking for someone to score your ENTIRE YouTube video, the cost is $20/hr.

You can monetize videos with my music in them, provided you say where you got it.

If you are not interested in a custom track/score (but still want to use some of my music in your project), I do have free tracks available for download on my AudioMicro page: http://www.audiomicro.com/artist/Bill_Miller25.  Purchasing a license through AudioMicro allows you to use my music in a commercial project, whereas purchasing through Bandcamp offers you no such protection.
